Framed by a City

I see my city, San Francisco, as a frame for how I view the world around me – the people, the places, even the meaning of things. In photography and art, we use frames to separate the work from the environment. What’s within the frame is what is expected to be in focus. But what if the frame itself is the interesting part? Or at least as interesting as the content within.
